Schola Legem announces the first debate of the 2023/2024 academic year!
ALL are invited – both members and non-members who are not yet part of our Academic Circle and who express a wish to join and participate in the debate.

The topic of the debate: “Does the type/lenght of the sentence have an impact on the offender? If so, what kind? – the penitentiary system and extra-legal rehabilitative aspects of legal systems in the world”.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEBATE FOR PARTICIPANTS:
The debates are conducted in the formula of Oxford debates.
- Each participant in the debate has two minutes for the main statement.
- During the main speech, you should state your position in relation to the topic of the debate.
- Each participant has one minute to comment on the main speech of another participant.
- A comment of the comment can also be made – also within one minute.
- Two main rules of debating:
